Bitseom 3L: Laser Art, Light of Companionship, Lecture
The Seoul Light Hangang Bitseom Festival is Korea's largest waterfront laser art Festival, set along Seoul's Hangang River. Held annually on a rotating basis across the Hangang's six islands (Nanjido, Yeouido, Seonyudo, Nodeulseom, Seoraeseom, and Ttukseom), it offers a special experience that blends nature, art, and technology. The Festival's main theme is “Bitseom 3L,” comprising Laser Art, Light of Companionship, and the Bitseom Lecture.
The “2026 Seoul Light Hangang Bitseom Festival” is a signature nighttime media art Festival in Seoul that connects art, nature, and the city through light. This year, it presents “Rhapsody of Light” on Nodeulseom, weaving the energies of the Hangang's water, fire, soil, air, and life into a single narrative.
Large-scale laser installations and media art by world-renowned media artists will fill Nodeulseom's outdoor spaces, while illuminated walking paths and projection mapping will bring varied visual experiences to the connecting bridge and entrance areas. Indoors, kinetic works, installations, video works, and audiovisual performances will unfold. Together with university participation programs, these will present a new nighttime landscape blending light and nature throughout Nodeulseom.
