2026 Korea Science Festival with Jeonbuk Science Festival

The 2026 Korea Science Festival with Jeonbuk Science Festival is a science festival designed to let residents experience firsthand “Physical AI,” a future industry of Jeonbuk. It will be held for 3 days, from 2026. 10. 16 to 18, at the main athletic field of Jeonju University and Harim Mission Hall. Under the theme “A World in Motion, A New Future Opened by Physical AI!”, the festival is designed to let visitors experience AI not merely as technology on a screen, but as technology that moves and operates in the real world, such as robots and sensors.

Held in conjunction with the Korea Science Festival, the event brings together national science museums, outstanding research institutes from outside the province, and universities. Its main aim is to expand residents’ opportunities to enjoy science culture. Research achievements in advanced science and technology, including AI, biotechnology, energy, and mobility, are presented as hands-on content tailored to children, teenagers, and the general public. In partnership with the Jeonbuk State Office of Education, elementary, middle, and high schools in the province will also run hands-on booths and organize events for visitors as part of this participatory science festival.

The main programs include an opening ceremony, awards for the Jeonbuk Science and Technology Award and the Student Science Invention Award, themed exhibitions, science and technology activities, and performances. The festival is hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, Jeonbuk State, and the Jeonbuk State Office of Education, and organized by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, Jeonbuk Technopark, and the Jeonbuk Science Culture Hub Center.
