This year's Festival, themed “Autumn Light Playground,” features the Hangang Paper Airplane Flying Competition, where participants fold and fly paper airplanes by the Hangang River in autumn; talks and demonstrations by national paper airplane team members; activities, performances, photo zones, photo-type events, and on-site event competitions for the whole family. Registration for the paper airplane competition, the Festival's highlight, is limited to a total of 700 participants, the maximum capacity for a competition held over 1 day. Advance registration is first-come, first-served and available online only. This year, “on-site event competitions” will be offered for spectators who were unable to register for the main competition. The event competition categories will be announced at the venue on the day, and anyone can participate on site.
