Description

The Wonju Yongsugol Autumn Flower Festival is a resident-led autumn flower festival held in the Yongsugol area of Seogok-ri, Panbu-myeon, Wonju, Gangwon-do. The 5th Wonju Yongsugol Autumn Flower Festival in 2026 is scheduled to run for 13 days, from 9/23 to 10/5. Village residents create and maintain the flower fields themselves, offering visitors a variety of seasonal autumn flowers. Main flowers include zinnias, sunflowers, cosmos, yellow cosmos, verbena, globe amaranth, and asters. Visitors can enjoy flower fields divided into sections by flower type and color. During the festival, programs will focus on viewing and photographing the flower fields, and areas selling food and local agricultural specialties will also be provided with participation from local residents. The Yongsugol Autumn Flower Festival is a seasonal flower-themed festival held in autumn in Yongsugol, which also hosts a poppy festival in spring. Residents participate directly in everything from creating the flower fields to running the festival and managing the environment, making this resident-led festival a tourism offering that draws on the area's natural environment and rural scenery. It is one of Yongsugol's signature seasonal festivals, offering seasonal flower tourism centered on poppies in spring and various autumn flowers in autumn.
