The Enemy at Sejong Center

The Enemy is Kieran Hurley’s social-media-era adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s An Enemy of the People. In a declining town preparing to open an eco-friendly water-park resort, public-health director Kirsten discovers toxic contamination in the tap water. Her attempt to reveal it brings truth, the community’s survival and private interests into conflict. Directed by Lee Jun-woo and translated and adapted by Kang Hoon-gu, the production alternates Moon So-ri and Lee Bong-ryeon as Kirsten and features Hwang Young-hee, Kang Shin-gu, Lee Kang-wook and Park Se-eun. Running time is 105 minutes without intermission.
