Lee Seung-hyun: New Century Engine Experiments

Lee Seung-hyun presents three machines that pray for humans, inspired respectively by Buddhism, folk belief, and Daoism. Each machine contains a small computer and AI and, within a closed network disconnected from the internet, debates with the others about how to pray better. They convert invisible wishes into rotation and light. Visitors first read their conversations on a screen, then encounter the machines throughout the basement space.
